Wessex FM
The radio started as a hobby for radio enthusiasts who aimed to have a radio station in Dorset. Eventually the license for Wessex FM was issued in 1993 and its broadcasts in Dorchester, Weymouth and Bridport from its Dorchester studios. To listen to Wessex FM in Dorchester and Weymouth, you have to tune to 97.2FM, while Wessex FM broadcasts on the 96.0FM in Bridport. The station’s strapline is “From the heart of Dorset”.
