About Radio BBC Essex

BBC Essex is the local radio service available for Essex and the surrounding area. They currently capture around 18% of the market share in Essex and they broadcast out of the city of Chelmsford. Currently the station can be found on 95.3 FM,  103.5 FM in Great Braxted, 729 AM in Manningtree 1530 am in Rayleigh and 765 AM in Bakers Wood.

The vast majority of the songs played on BBC Essex include upbeat pop as well as tabloid style news and presentations. There are regular news bulletins as well as ongoing top countdowns of upbeat rock and pop from across the UK. The station is known for its quality programming as well as for being one of the BBC programs that isn't necessarily stuffy or serious.
